ODE TO ICE CREAM
Peter's ice cream
I bought you a week ago:
Choc Fudge Sundae.
Scattered with nuts,
Swirled with chocolate,
Rippled on the surface.
I desired you tonight.
Smooth, sweet, cool.
A frozen kiss
To explode on my tongue.
Tonight I opened my freezer,
Excited, anticipating.
Yet when I pulled off the lid,
You were not frozen,
But melted, melted, melted.
Oh why?
Why did my freezer stop working?

2 Comments:
Broken?
I turned up the cold by one notch and when I came back, everything in my fridge was frozen.
*sigh*
